Getting Started
ApacheWatch is a hosted monitoring platform for Apache httpd servers. This guide gets you from signup to your first monitored instance.
1. Create your account
Go to the signup page and fill in your details. Signing up creates:
- Your organization (called a "tenant" internally) — the private workspace you and your teammates share
- Your admin user account — the first user is always an admin, able to invite teammates and manage billing later
2. Choose a plan
| Plan | Monitored instances | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Up to 1 | Health checks, logs, start/stop/reload, SSL certificate monitoring |
| Starter | Up to 3 | + 7-day uptime history |
| Professional | Up to 10 | + support tickets, 30-day history |
| Enterprise | Up to 20 included, then $8/month each | + LDAP / SAML / OIDC single sign-on, 90-day history |
See Billing and Plans for the full comparison and how to change plans later.
3. Your free trial
New accounts start with a free trial (14 days by default). No credit card charge happens until the trial ends or you upgrade.
4. Log in
Use the username and password you signed up with — just those two fields, no organization/company name needed. ApacheWatch is a single-page application — after you log in, the whole dashboard loads once and stays open.
5. Enroll your first agent
ApacheWatch monitors your Apache servers through a small agent program you install on each server. The agent connects outbound to ApacheWatch — you don't need to open any inbound firewall ports.
See Agents and Enrollment for the full walkthrough. In short:
- In the dashboard, go to Agents → Enroll New Agent to generate a one-time enrollment token
- Install the agent on your Apache server and configure it with the token
- The agent registers itself and its instance(s) appear in your dashboard automatically
